Ajman Bank – Brand Transformation & Market Leadership

Context:
Listed on the Dubai Financial Market, Ajman Bank embarked on an ambitious journey to transition from a traditional Islamic bank into a digitally advanced, customer-centric financial institution. The challenge was to redefine the bank’s positioning, elevate its visibility, and align its communications with its strategic growth ambitions while competing in a rapidly evolving and highly regulated sector.

Objective:
To reposition Ajman Bank as a forward-thinking, tech-driven Islamic financial leader built on trust, innovation, and ethical banking principles — strengthening its reputation among customers, investors, regulators, and international markets.

Strategy / Approach:
Working through both MPJ Marketing Pro-Junction and later EVOPS Marketing & PR, I led a comprehensive transformation of the bank’s marketing and communication framework. The strategy focused on building brand credibility, enhancing digital visibility, and showcasing Ajman Bank’s performance through consistent, purpose-driven storytelling aligned with its strategic vision of “Speed, Service, and Specialization.”

Execution:

  • Designed and implemented a multi-channel brand communication strategy across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
  • Directed corporate reputation management, executive profiling, and award positioning, ensuring strong alignment between leadership communications and business goals.
  • Enhanced internal and external stakeholder engagement through thought leadership, CSR initiatives, and financial education programs.
  • Supported high-level partnership communications with Mastercard, Visa, Magnati, and Investopia, amplifying Ajman Bank’s ecosystem positioning.
  • Led strategic PR campaigns highlighting innovation, expansion, and financial resilience, including the opening of new branches in Ras Al-Khaimah, Khalifa City, and Zawaya Walk.

Results:

  • Ajman Bank achieved record profitability, reporting AED 440 million in net profit for 2024 — a 213% increase, marking the highest annual profit in its history.
  • Recognised among Arabian Business’s “100 Most Admired Companies”, reflecting strong market confidence and brand trust.
  • CEO named among the “100 Most Inspiring Leaders 2024” by Arabian Business and among Finance Middle East’s Top GCC Banking CEOs, reinforcing leadership excellence.
